Then winter hit with full force. I think I’m one of many (at least if you talk to people) who had wished for a green winter this year, considering the harsh winters we’ve had in recent years. It’s easy to hold back laughter when you’re about to take your dog out at 7 in the morning and it’s minus 16 degrees, which feels like -25 degrees because of the wind, according to the weather site Klart.
My way of compensating for the undesirable weather conditions is spring flowers. It makes me look forward, spring will come eventually, even though the road feels long.

Beautiful glass vases perfect for the fragile pearl hyacinths.

Tulips in a rustic setting, beautiful. It makes me think of Provence.

One of my favorite flowers, lily of the valley, first blooms in May-June.
Another way to deal with depression is to indulge in your passions. It’s no secret that I’m a freak when it comes to silk curtains. Here are some pictures:

Striped silk curtains look great against the monochrome gray.

Gray silk curtains with a blue accent are the finishing touch.

It almost looks like designer Jean Louise Deniot created this room. He also has a weakness for silk curtains.

So nice with soft pink silk curtains, it doesn’t look very feminine as you might think but…

…but it’s these caramel-colored silk curtains.
