Take me to….Provence!

At this time of year, the travel nerves start to get really bad. Even though it COULD be a nice summer here at home, we know that it is highly uncertain. Like for so many others, Provence is the ever-present travel destination and it is no wonder at all. It is teeming with attractions, unique accommodations, the sun, the sea and the easy-going lifestyle are a draw for tourists from all over the world, of course. June is a good month to travel there when it is a little less crowded and blissful. For me, the accommodation is half the fun. I spend a lot of time finding places that have that little bit extra.

One place I remember well is Chateau de Trigance, a medieval fortress, located in Hautes Provence, near the Alps.

And here I am, writing in my travel diary. What did I write? Well, “that the room was satisfactory but that’s more than you can say about the food in the restaurant. Cool environment with horrible food.” I can admit this far afterwards that I wrapped the inedible duck in a napkin and threw it out into the alpine landscape… oh, how shameful.

Where would I like to go next then? I have found a five-star little gem located in Eze just 10 minutes drive from Nice, perched on a 400 meter cliff, what a place!
