Something Soft and Warm in November

Now this is it, the one considered by many to be the heaviest month of the year. I heard of a man who every year simply crossed out November on his calendar and wrote July instead. Then he went to warmer latitudes to experience the July heat. That’s one way. Another is to embrace the darkness and the rain and enjoy the situation, of course.

Now on to interior design talk. I wonder if there is a shift underway, finally I would say so. I have noticed that more and more velvet sofas and armchairs are creeping into interior design magazines and in stores. Good thing! It would really be about time that the gray sofas in cotton-like fabric got competition and disappeared. Velvet is a perfect autumn fabric, so soft and warming and not least luxurious. It doesn’t have to be in the form of a sofa, curtains or pillows work just as well. Or clothes…

Here comes a tribute to velvet through a compote of images with the velvet fabric as a theme.
