The summer yard auctions are about to start and I think more people should take the chance to find quality furniture. It’s strange that more people haven’t discovered what treasures can be hidden at flea markets and auctions. I’m thinking of furniture from the early 20th century and onwards. They are usually made of solid craftsmanship and materials but can be bought for almost nothing.
I have found many pieces of furniture over the years that after a little sanding and painting have been given a new life. The most recent ones I have painted black and some have also been decorated with gold decor.

A neo-rococo bedside table was given a completely different look with black paint.

Chippendale armchair from the 1930s and an English mahogany drum table…….

was painted and sprayed black and the English “drum table” was given a gold decoration with hand-painted bluebells.
Finally, two pictures from Ralph Lauren with furniture all in black, so sophisticated and stylish!
