Happy May…

Beautiful May, welcome to our part of Sweden again! I would love to exclaim that but with the cold and wind that has stubbornly clung to these first days of May it will just be a frosty brrr! I am longing for summer and warmth and for the holiday at our country house in Värmlandsnäs. Therefore I have picked up some photos from the archives from last summer’s holiday.

The first days of May have been really chilly and windy in our part of Sweden. No wonder one is longing for the summer. I have picked up some photos from last summer that was spent at our countryhouse.

My bedroom where I like to spend the afternoons with a book or “sleeping midday”. I went all out when I chose a raspberry red wallpaper from Neisha Crosland but it harmonizes nicely with all the white. My bedroom in the country house where I spend the afternoons reading a book or taking a nap. I have chosen a bold raspberry red color for the walls. The wallpaper comes from Neisha Crosland and is called Russian red.

The stove is from the 19th century and is called the Fryksdalsspis. It warms well in the winter.

The oven is from the 19th century. It is a blessing in the winter.

In one corner of the room are a pair of Chippendale armchairs that I have repainted black and upholstered in toile de Jouy fabric.
