Hang Them High!

Hang Them High is the name of a spaghetti western starring Clint Eastwood from 1968, and of course it means that the villains will be hanging high on the gallows. Huh…. But here we are talking about some nice curtain tips.

Curtains have led a rather waning existence in recent years. The norm has been panel curtains or no curtains at all. The mantra has been to let in as much light as possible. But the fact is that you can let in as much light as possible even if you have curtains. I think bare windows are boring. During the dark season, the windows become like black holes in the room. Frames, but on the other hand, in the window with curtains it immediately feels warm and cozy.

If you have low ceilings and want to create the illusion of higher ceilings, place the curtain rod close to the ceiling. This will make the ceiling appear higher than it actually is.

By using a wider curtain rod that extends slightly beyond the window frame, you can drape the curtains along the side of the window. The effect is the feeling of a wider window but it also allows maximum light in.

At home in my living room, I have hung the curtains on a ceiling rail that makes it easy to move the curtain lengths to let in light or pull them too wide to block out too much sunlight.

During autumn and winter you want to feel extra cozy and comfortable, and velvet curtains are a good choice. Velvet gives a soft impression and especially during cold winter nights it feels extra nice to be able to close the window and shut out the cold world.
