Ghost sofa

It may seem like a strange title, but it becomes a kind of ghost story further down.

Do you have a white sofa or are you thinking of getting one? I think most people shy away from it because dirt and stains are easily visible. But there are several advantages to white sofa covers and they are actually practical, provided they have loose upholstery that is washable. Not at all wrong if you have small children or a dog. But it does require a little more care, of course. Another important feature is that you can wash white upholstery without it fading like colored fabric does.

I have had a white sofa myself for a number of years. It is a Fogia sofa. I think white sofas are so stylish and I have not regretted it for a second. But I am also very careful because I want to avoid washing it because the sofa upholstery requires dry cleaning. That is why I spread a blanket when I lie down and watch TV and vacuum it about once a week. Since I have a dog that can jump up with dirty paws, I have to be careful with it. Small stains are easy to remove, however, because the fabric is Teflon-treated

A sofa that is loved and has become a classic with more than 10 years in Ikea’s range is the Ektorp sofa. It has removable upholstery that is available with white upholstery that you can wash at home. It is stylish with its round shapes and comfortable to sit in. From what I understand, it is just as popular in Sweden as in the rest of the world.

Now I finally come to the ghost. It is the Ghost sofa produced by the Italian company Gervasoni. The name comes from the slightly loose upholstery that designer Paola Navone thought gave a slightly ghostly impression. The sofa has a slightly wrinkled linen fabric as a cover. It is washable.

Normally I don’t like wrinkles very much. But I have to admit that I am very fond of Ghost. More pictures coming here.
