You’ve probably noticed that bright orange is the color of the season, especially in spring fashion. The stores are filled with garments in shades from orange to apricot. And it certainly feels fresh, even though I associate it with the early 70s when orange was used on walls and furniture.
In my childhood, the color was called fire yellow and I remember having an anorak jacket in fire yellow that I thought was really nice. The reason I remember the jacket so well is that my mother found it at a fire sale and the color therefore carried a symbolism with it. Today, I can’t imagine dressing in fire yellow. However, I have no problem with orange details in interiors. Just look at how the color can liven up different interior environments.
